Taylor Swift Ad Is Banned

Well, it looks like an ad has finally been banned in America.
After a year of the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banning fashion and beauty ads left and right, the US’s National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus Claims (NAD) has cracked down on a popular makeup ad for excessive Photoshopping.
Business Insider reports that the NAD has banned print ads for CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara, including the spots featuring celeb spokesmodel Taylor Swift. According to the NAD, the ads made “superior performance claims” such as “2X more volume” and “20 percent lighter” that simply couldn’t be substantiated.
The NAD specifically noted that the Swift ad had a disclaimer printed on the bottom that clearly stated, “lashes enhanced in post production.”

Hank Williams Jr. walked off the stage in the middle of his duet with Jason Aldean. Jason forgave Hank Jr. very quickly though, other people not so much!!

Freedom's Call - Veterans Day 2011

The U.S. Air Force Band of Flight will present a concert titled “Freedom‟s Call” on the evening of November 11 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in honor of Veterans Day.
The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Coliseum’s main arena. There will be no charge for admission to this non-ticketed event.Special floor seating will be offered to veterans, current military personnel and their families.
"On November 11th, our community will be afforded an extraordinary opportunity to recognize and honor the veterans from Allen and surrounding counties while enjoying a free night of high-quality music performed by a first-class band at our region’s premiere entertainment center,” said Nelson Peters, president of the Allen County Board of Commissioners, who along with the Memorial Coliseum and the Allen County Council of Veterans, is making this event possible."

Mike's Carwash is honoring all veterans who have served Our Country with a free carwash on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. No identification is required by Mike's, it's strictly on the honor system.
Also, Mike's will be accepting donations to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) via buckets at the carwash.
On Monday, November 14, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military.
