Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography unit travels to various community and business sites to bring mammography screening to women at locations more convenient to their home or work. The mobile unit, a 40-foot long motor coach, is staffed by radiologic technologists who specialize in mammography from the Breast Diagnostic Center (BDC). The digital unit is furnished with the same FDA and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)-approved equipment as the three stationary sites of the BDC.
